Every Alder & Ash mirror begins as a single sheet of reclaimed iron, hand-scored and folded at our polar workshop. The spearmint enamel is mixed in small vats, poured by hand, and kiln-fired at low heat to achieve the signature chalky matte finish. Rivets are hammered one at a time — never welded — leaving a visible mark of the maker on every seam.
